GAC provides first Dynamics NAV 2016 implementation in the Netherlands

On August 1st 2015 GAC Business Solutions has gone live with the first implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 in the Netherlands. Honeywell Customized Comfort Products upgraded from Microsoft Dynamics 5.0 to the latest version of the ERP solution. Honeywell Customized Comfort Products is the second company in the world to use Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016.

Early transition through TAP
Alex Bouwmeester, project manager for GAC: “We were initially planning to make a transition to Dynamics NAV 2013 R2. Because GAC is a participant in Microsoft’s Technology Adoption Program we could offer more. Thanks to TAP we could offer Honeywell Customized Comfort Products the opportunity to be one of the first companies in the world to use Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016.”

Technology Adoption Program
Microsoft offers the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) to select partners. Their customers are given early access to new software and can participate in its development. Thanks to their participation in TAP GAC was previously tone the first company in the world to implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.

Honeywell Customized Comfort Products
Honeywell Customized Comfort Products is part of Honeywell International. The division has sites at thirteen locations in the Netherlands. Honeywell Customized Comfort Products develops innovative systems, products and services for domestic use. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 gives Honeywell Customized Comfort Products access to new functionality and opens up new possibilities to promote the New World of Work  (NWOW) approach to workers.

Switch to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016
Honeywell Comfort Products wanted to upgrade software support for the company processes with higher performance and a web based environment. The first choice was Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013R2. Participating in TAP allowed Honeywell Comfort Products to get the expanded functionality of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and allowed for a longer term investment in new ERP software.

Extra features, performance and functionality
Ronald Daris, system architect at Honeywell Customized Comfort Products: “Honeywell Customized Comfort Products has used Microsoft Dynamics NAV for years. Although the software works to our satisfaction, it was time for an update. Thanks to GAC we made a smooth transition to the latest version. We made a fluent switch to Dynamics NAV 2016 which has given us extra features, performance and functionality. The new system is better adapted to our needs.”

Mobile first, cloud first
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 offers multiple advantages over previous versions. The software has been developed from the ‘mobile first, cloud first’ principle announced by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Dynamics NAV 2016 makes it easier to offer customers and partner’s access to files and data and has several options to implement location independent working environments.

Innovative solutions
Dynamics NAV 2016 also includes innovative solutions allowing its users to work with any computing platform, from powerful workstations to simple smartphones. Smart implementation of internet technologies and cloud based file synchronization helps keep data up-to-date even during complex team based work efforts

App based hour registration
Honeywell Customized Comfort Products also implemented the hour registration app developed by GAC. This allows employees to quickly and easily register their billable hours by tablet or smartphone. All data is automatically synchronized with the centralized storage in Dynamics NAV. This makes automated hour based invoicing faster, easier and more dependable.

GAC Business Solutions searches innovative solutions that offer small and medium businesses the best possible software.
